With that in mind, the stakes are higher in the draft for a rebuilding team, too. 

They need guys to hit. Realistically, any NBA general manager is going to miss here and there. That’s fine. They simply need to hit more often. 

So far, the San Antonio Spurs have done so. With that said, they did have a consequential miss recently. Joshua Primo, unfortunately, was an absolute waste of a draft pick. 

Yes, that’s got as much (or more) to do with off-court issues as it does on-court production. That’s not the point.
