No NBA team wants to roster an unhappy player. They can. Sure, any team can tell a player to get over their issues and continue to play them.
With that said, there are usually consequences to that course of action.
Sometimes, players will refuse to play. That gets extremely messy. They’ve got far less trade value when opposing teams know they’re forced to trade them. Even then, an unhappy player is simply bad for locker-room chemistry.
With that in mind, Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks appears to be unhappy. He recently took to social media to complain about his role with the team.
For that reason, he’s a strong trade candidate this summer.
Could the Knicks send him to the Spurs in exchange for Devin Vassell?
