We won’t speculate on Brown’s potential happiness in the city of Denver. We’re going to stick to basketball here. 

Through that lens, this is a perfect fit. If there’s a hole in Brown’s game, it’s playmaking. Why not pair him with one of the best playmakers in the NBA? 

Brown provides everything Jokic should need in a co-star, too. He’s an elite shot-creator and floor spacer who plays solid point-of-attack defense. There’s no reason to assume this duo would be anything short of elite. 

That defensive acumen is especially relevant here. Jokic notoriously struggles on that end of the floor, and so does Michael Porter Jr.

Additionally, Brogdon can replace a portion of Murray’s ball-handling and playmaking. There’s no question that this deal would make the Nuggets a better team.
