For example, Turner was the subject of rumors for a long time. The Pacers were widely expected to trade him at this year’s deadline. Instead, the Pacers showed the world exactly why they shouldn’t listen to rumors.

They extended Turner. On the other hand, that doesn’t mean they’ve got no intention of ever moving him. It’s possible that the Pacers extended Turner to increase his value.
