It’s been an interesting 2022-23 NBA season for the New Orleans Pelicans. 

That’s not to say that it’s been a good one. The Pelicans started the season looking like title contenders. In time, it became obvious that they fell well short of that mark. 

On the other hand, it hasn’t been a disaster, either. The Pelicans are young. They’ve dealt with some major injuries.

Arguably, the beginning of the season set expectations for them that they were never going to meet. 

Still, this team needs to make some progress next year. They could probably start by acquiring a defensive-minded big man. This roster is littered with quality offensive players, but they’re lacking rim protection. 

Would Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks do the trick?
