The NBA is officially a positionless league. The era of rigidly defining players by their position is over. Now, we tend to look at players based on their skill set.
Often, that means defining them by their archetype.
Primary playmakers, Defensive anchors. Three-and-D wings. A successful NBA team usually has all of these archetypes if they’re going to win games.
With that said some archetypes crossover. For example, three-and-D wings that double as secondary shot-creators are especially valued in today’s league.
We’re talking about players like Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers and Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors.
Could they switch sides this summer?
