Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal 

The Nets may be in a different situation. That’s not to say it’s a bad one. 

This team is stacked with elite defensive players. They’ve also got an impressive collection of draft capital. All told, this organization could be in worse shape. 

Yet, the Nets are just 5-11 since the trade deadline. It’s obvious that this group needs a primary playmaker. Enter Dejounte Murray. 

He’s more than capable of fulfilling that role. Moreover, Murray is an elite point-of-attack defender. He won’t compromise the Nets’ identity on that end of the floor.
