Why The Orlando Magic Do The Deal 

The Magic would only do this deal if their own pick landed in a certain range. 

If they land the number one pick, this deal is off. There’s only a player or two in the NBA that teams would trade Victor Wembanyama for – if any – and Ball isn’t one of them.

In all likelihood, the Magic would rather simply draft Scoot Henderson than go all-in on Ball as well. 

On the other hand, if their pick lands anywhere from third down, the Magic should offer this deal. This team already has impressive young talent. Paolo Banchero looks like a franchise player, and Franz Wagner has star potential as well.
