Mikal Bridges looks like a blossoming star. Some Nets fans won’t like this deal for that reason. 

At the same time, the Nets may not be ready for a blossoming star. This group is otherwise light on offensive creation.

Moreover, Bridges looks like the type of star who can be the third-best player on an elite team or the second-best on a strong one. He shouldn’t be the best player on an NBA team. 

Neither should Michael Porter Jr. On the other hand, he does have star-caliber shot creation. Moreover, he’s younger than Bridges. Porter Jr. still has plenty of upside.
