Most NBA players have some limitations. In fact, perhaps all of them do. Even the league’s best players have limitations.
Giannis Antetokoumnpo isn’t a great shooter. Nikola Jokic is a subpar defender. Basketball perfection is a lofty goal.
Still, some players are more limited than others. They may even be elite in one facet of the game. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t struggle in another area or two.
Look at Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves. This man remains the best rim protector in basketball.
At the same time, plenty of his critics are quick to point out several of his limitations.
