Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal
If the Raptors are open to this deal, it’s a no-brainer for Miami. They’re getting the best player in the deal without compromising their roster construction.
That’s not to say that they won’t miss Herro. Miami’s half-court offense would suffer. Still, they could use an upgrade at the 4 spot. Anunoby is big and strong enough to man that position for the Heat.
He’s also, to reiterate, the best player in this deal. Anunoby may not be as dynamic of a scorer as Herro is, but he’s one of the best two-way players in the NBA. This will be an upgrade for the Heat.
Adding Boucher counts for something too. He’s a flawed player, but he does provide some floor spacing and weak side shot blocking.

Still, Anunoby is the main draw here. Among other things, he’d improve Miami’s floor balance.
