Why The Sacramento Kings Do The Deal 

The Kings do this deal for the opposite reason – they’re not rebuilding. Why cling to Murray? 

That’s not to say the Kings need to move the rookie ahead of his sophomore season. Murray has been good, and he’s likely to get better. By contrast, he’s not likely to become as good as Mikal Bridges by next season. 

After all, this is one of the very best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. Bridges also offers some secondary shot creation – he’d be a perfect complement to Sabonis and Fox. 

As mentioned, this team could use some defensive power. Bridges would be a tremendous addition.
