Hield is a good rotation player. He’s one of the best movement shooters in the NBA. He would likely be an upgrade over Trent Jr, but given that the Raptors are also losing Anunoby, it’s a moot point. 

That’s fine. The Raptors are doing this for the draft capital. This deal leaves them equipped with three brand-new first-round picks. 

With that said, Smith is an interesting acquisition here as well. He’s struggled to find a consistent role on a Pacers team that’s had its share of quality big men.

Still, he has flashed potential as a floor-spacing big man who plays solid defense.
