Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
Two injury prone star players may be a problem. It’s not as large of one as having no star players at all.
That’s the situation the Jazz find themselves in – sort of. Lauri Markkanen has had a fantastic year, but he’s not the type of star you can truly build a contender around.
Is Ingram? That’s hard to say. On the other hand, when healthy, he’s looked the part. This would be the most talented player on the Jazz.
Meanwhile, their new, young star duo should be enough to get them back into the playoffs.

The Jazz would still have plenty of assets leftover after this deal too – in theory, they could trade for another star.
That would put them in a truly enviable position.
