Why The Phoenix Suns Do The Deal
The Suns do this deal for obvious reasons. They’ll have built a super team if they do.
Think about it. Davis would be joining Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. That’s as star-studded a trio as you’ll find in the NBA.
It’s also a well-balanced one. This isn’t offense only. Davis is an elite two-way big. Meanwhile, Booker and Durant can both thrive on and off the ball. There are no significant weaknesses in this trio’s armor.
If there’s any reservation here, it’s that the deal leaves the Suns without a starting point guard. Counterpoint: so what? Promote Cameron Payne. Sign Patrick Beverley.
