Some say you should never do business with your friends. NBA players have to navigate the same issues.
That seems a little silly to us. What happens if you become friends with the people you’re doing business with? Should you stop doing business? The real key is to separate the friendship from the business.
In today’s league, that’s increasingly true. Players around the league are friendlier with each other now than they’ve been at any point in NBA history.
For example, look at LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns.
These two have one of the closest friendships in the league. Yet, somehow, they’ve never been on an NBA team together.
Could that change this summer?
