Why The Toronto Raptors Do The Deal 

There are a number of ways in which the Raptors could approach this situation. There is a possibility that they may simply view Simmons as a salary matcher. That’s fine.

That means they will be trading Anunoby and Trent Jr. in exchange for three first-round picks and a swap in that case. 

The alternative is, on the other hand, that they may want to take a chance on Simmons. There is no doubt that he has struggled in recent years. On the other hand, we are not sure if he has been in a completely healthy state for the past few months.
