Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal
Some will suggest that this isn’t the best fit for Miami. It may not be. After all, they’re already built around two questionable floor spacers in Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. DeRozan has the same shortcomings. Is this viable?
We think so. The Heat could go two ways here. They could have DeRozan run point, and put two elite floor spacers in the lineup.
One of them would be Tyler Herro, and the Heat may have to go shopping for the other.
Alternatively, they could count on DeRozan’s close friend Kyle Lowry to hit his former efficiency from deep when paired with a playmaker he’s comfortable with.

In that event, Herro remains a sixth man who can give the Heat better-spaced lineups when he subs in. Either way, they may not be able to turn down having this much playmaking in one lineup.
Should the Bulls give it to them?
