Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

The Knicks are getting the best player in this trade. For some, that will justify it on its own. 

Even if Anunoby isn’t a playmaker in hiding, that’ll hold true. This is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. There’s no question he’ll make the Knicks a better team. 

Meanwhile, this team is already pretty good. The Knicks have been a competitive team in 2022-23. As long as that holds, they might as well make win-now moves this summer. 

Yes, they’ll miss Robinson. At the same time, they can move Isaiah Hartenstein into his spot.
