The NBA’s trade deadline has officially passed. It had its winners, and its losers.
One of the big winners was the Los Angeles Lakers. This team pooled the assets they had together to assemble an entirely new team.
They ought to improve their performance for the remainder of this season.
In fact, they’ve got to. LeBron James is not likely to accept losing for much longer. The Lakers had better hope their new roster is up to the challenge ahead of them.
If they aren’t, heads will roll. It’s hard to imagine what might happen if the Lakers miss the playoffs, but we wouldn’t rule anything out.
Not even this trade that sends Anthony Davis to the Atlanta Hawks.
