For the Knicks, this is mostly about swapping Rose for Allen.
With that said, don’t entirely discount Ingles. His age and limited athleticism after an injury put a cap on his value, but it’s non-zero. He should find spot minutes in this Knicks’ rotation.
Still, Allen is the main draw here. It’s not so much that he’s a more impactful player than Rose. He does fill a role the Knicks need more pressingly.
