Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal 

If the Nets are moving Durant, they should at least be entertaining the idea of roping the Rockets into the deal. 

This organization could use a reset. Currently, they can’t necessarily orchestrate one. The Rockets hold the key to their future, and the Nets should get it back. 

This deal has them doing so. They’re not taking a discount to do it, either. All told, Wiggins, four unprotected first-round picks, and a swap is a good return in exchange for Durant. 

In fact, adding Wiggins may help them avoid tanking hard. At the same time, they’ll have the option to do so if they choose.

If that’s their decision, they can likely flip Wiggins for another pick or two. 

This makes perfect sense for the Nets. Should the Rockets give them their future back?
