Houston Rockets Receive: F Jonathan Kuminga
Golden State Warriors Receive: F Kevin Durant
On the other hand, if life has been difficult for Durant as a Brooklyn Net, it’s hard to blame management.
This team has mostly done whatever Durant wanted them to do. Most notably, they sent four first-round picks and three pick swaps to the Houston Rockets in exchange for his friend James Harden.
Now, that decision looms over the organization. James Harden is gone, and Ben Simmons has replaced him.
So far, that doesn’t look like it’s been a worthwhile trade-off.
Meanwhile, the Nets are stuck. If Durant requests another trade, they can’t simply flip him for a haul of draft capital. Without control of their own draft, they won’t benefit from bottoming out.
Should they go get their own picks back?
