Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
It’s no secret that Utah’s hot start was a surprise for a reason. The team was supposed to be rebuilding at the beginning of the season.
Lately, it seems like those preseason projections have been accurate for the most part. It’s true that this Jazz team possesses talent, but they don’t have the type of star player that would be able to lead them to a deep postseason run.
That being the case, they might as well make some moves with that in mind. As a matter of fact, they really should be coveting first-round picks more than anything else. As a result of this deal, they have a good chance of landing one of those.
There is a cost associated with it. Over the course of the 2022-23 season, Sexton has shown some glimpses of the potential that once had him looking like a future star in this league.
