Why The Boston Celtics Do The Deal
It does seem like Boston wants to upgrade their frontcourt.
Recently, they’ve been linked to Jakob Poeltl of the San Antonio Spurs. That could make some sense. On the other hand, Olynyk is a better fit.
After all, he spaces the floor. With Robert Williams III being a huge part of this team when healthy, that counts for a lot. Olynyk can co-exist with him. In fact, he can basically co-exist with anyone.
That’s because Olynyk is a solid shooting big who plays hard defense. He’s a deceptively good playmaker and shot-creator, too.
