Patrick Beverley is a much worse player than Jordan Clarkson. At one time, that wasn’t necessarily the case. Beverley is an elite point-of-attack defender who can help a contender win games.
Unless his shot isn’t falling. This season, it isn’t. That’s fine for Utah. They’re acquiring a solid veteran mentor, and downgrading their roster so as to bottom out for lottery odds.
They’re also getting an extremely valuable first-round pick in the process.
