Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

Let’s be honest – Reddish isn’t going to become that player in New York. 

Realistically, he’s already lost Coach Thibodeau’s trust. He’s unlikely to earn it back – the veteran skipper is notoriously prickly. 

Meanwhile, his frequent benching of Reddish has done the young wing’s trade value no favours. By now, teams won’t be willing to part with much to take a chance on Reddish. 

They may be willing to send an expiring contract and a pair of second-rounders. if that’s the best the Knicks can do, they might as well do it.
