They say that in basketball, one player can move the needle more than they can in any other sport. In the NBA, that may not be entirely true.

That doesn’t mean role players don’t matter. Of course they do. Not even a hybrid of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar could win a game of one on five. 

Still, stars do make the biggest impact on the game.

At the end of the day, a player who can generate his own offense will always give you the best chance of winning an NBA game. 

That’s why we get so excited when stars get traded. It’s going to change the league. In 2022-23, we can expect to see a few stars change zip codes.
