Up until recently, that isn’t something you could say about the Kings. Their 16-year playoff drought is the longest in NBA history. Still, at 19-16, they’re solid playoff hopefuls this season.
Still, they’re not in as strong of a position as the Cleveland Cavaliers. They acquired superstar Donovan Mitchell this summer, and at 24-14, they’ve got plenty to show for it.
Still, neither of these teams are juggernauts, either. They could both stand to tinker with their rosters.

If there is a mutually benefit trade for both teams to get done, there isn’t a reason not to do it. There isn’t a need to move draft capital here, either.
