Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal
We don’t intend to disrespect either John Wall or Reggie Jackson.
In his prime, the former was a more impactful player than VanVleet has ever been. Unfortunately, a series of injuries shortened Wall’s peak – in light of that, his return to form as a rotation-caliber guard is impressive.
Jackson is solid too. He’s one of those guards who ranks somewhere between a decent starter and a great reserve. Still, neither of these guys is on the same level as VanVleet.
For the Clippers, this is a pure talent upgrade. VanVleet would be lethal as a third option behind Leonard and Paul George.
