When you’re close enough to your goals, sometimes, you’ve got to make that last push. NBA teams sometimes need to do the same.

A team can build a roster that’s strong enough to compete for the title, but sometimes, they need to make that one final move to put them over the top.
The Los Angeles Clippers appear to be that team. In particular, they could benefit from an upgrade to their point guard position.
So far, the Clippers have utilized Reggie Jackson and John Wall as options, but they could benefit from getting a talent like Fred VanVleet. He’s a more dynamic option all-around and a competitive on-ball defender.
Here’s a deal that has them making one by acquiring VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors.
