They’ll miss Finney-Smith. He’s the best 3-and-D wing on the team. In some respects, this may be a case of two steps forward and one step backward for the Mavericks.
That still adds up to a step forward. Meanwhile, Maxi Kleber can make up a portion of what Finney-Smith does. If nothing else, he does more to do so than anyone on the Mavs currently can to replicate Bogdanovic.
After all, he’s an outstanding offensive player. Bogdanovic is a crafty finisher and deft ball-handler who can create shots for himself and others. He also spaces the floor for Luka Doncic.
