Still, all hope isn’t lost in Dallas. They still have Luka Doncic – he’s one of the best players in the NBA. Moreover, they’re at least hanging around the playoff bubble. 

The Mavericks need a co-star for Doncic. DeRozan would be a strong candidate.

Granted, he’s not a floor spacer, but even having another ball-handler who commands substantial offensive attention should do wonders for the Dallas Mavericks.

As for the Chicago Bulls, a first-round pick and a swap is a good return for an aging DeRozan. If they want more in return for him, they may have to include another player.
