Brooklyn Nets Receive: F/C Kristaps Porzingis 

In some ways, the Washington Wizards’ 11-20 record is puzzling. After all, Kristaps Porzingis has been everything they could have hoped for. 

They can’t afford to spend much more time figuring out what’s wrong. This team is bad, and they don’t look likely to improve. Flipping their best players for future assets should be the move. 

This deal has them doing so. The highlight of the package may be Cam Thomas. He’s flashed potential as a shot creator. Still, Claxton and a future first-rounder are not mere throw-ins, either. 

Meanwhile, Porzingis should be a perfect addition to the Brooklyn Nets. Adding a big who spaces the floor for Ben Simmons is especially prudent.
