Ladies and gentlemen, NBA trade season, is officially upon us. With December 15 now being in the rear-view, most of the restrictions that prevented players from being traded are now eligible to be moved.

With those restrictions being lifted, it means one thing: we’ll be seeing some movement. This season, we may see lots of it. The next major date is January 15, but now, about 90 percent of the league can be traded.

After all, the upcoming draft class is one of the most anticipated of all time.

Tanking teams will be especially eager to move on from veterans – and contending teams will be happy to have them. 

All of which should make for a lot of fun leading up to this year’s trade deadline. The rumor mill is already churning overtime – plenty of intriguing scenarios are making the rounds.
