Why The Washington Wizards Do The Deal
We already told you why the Wizards would do this deal. It’s time to rebuild.
In all likelihood, this deal would be a companion to a Bradley Beal trade that happened elsewhere – assuming Beal is willing to waive his no-trade clause, of course.
Even if he isn’t, there are benefits for the Wizards here. At 11-17, they’re close enough to the bottom of the standings that they could justify tanking.
This team will not miss Porzingis if they land Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, or even a prospect like Cam Whitmore.

Should the Nets really incur the risk of giving it up?
