It’s been a while since we were able to say this: the Sacramento Kings are good. 

So good, in fact, that they appear likely to break their NBA record 16-season playoff drought. With that said, a major acquisition could be what they need to make sure that happens. An acquisition like, for example, OG Anunoby. 

After all, Anunoby is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the entire NBA. He’d be a perfect complement to this roster. Moreover, he’d raise their floor to the point that, barring injuries, this team would be a lock to make the playoffs. 

On the other hand, the Toronto Raptors may miss them following this deal. Still, they’d have two future first-round picks to work towards a brighter future with. At 13-12, that may be their best course of action.

Meanwhile, Holmes gives them a conventional big man they don’t currently roster. If nothing else, landing him helps them determine whether they need such a player or not.
