This team has a clear defensive identity. Between OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, and Scottie Barnes, they are stacked with long, rangy wings that disrupt passing lanes.
In many ways, that’s the direction that modern NBA defenses are generally heading in.

Yet, a conventional rim protector is conspicuously absent from the Raptors. It makes for a conceptually interesting team. The Raptors have plenty of weak-side help, but they don’t have a primary deterrent.
