Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

Sometimes, plans change for the better. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case. 

The Bulls planned on winning games this season. At 9-12, that hasn’t happened very often thus far. If they don’t turn this season around soon, they may want to entertain a change of plans. 

Moving DeRozan might be the most logical option in that event, He’s considerably older than Zach LaVine, and will have more trade value than Nikola Vucevic. 

If that’s the (new) plan, this is a great return for the Bulls. A pair of first-round picks is all they can ask for in exchange for a player as old as DeRozan.

In all likelihood, this would be a soft reset for the Bulls – they could use these picks to trade for LaVine’s next co-star this summer.
