Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal
Firstly, any deal that has the Lakers moving on from Westbrook has its own benefits.
With that said, this deal doesn’t necessarily bring n the floor spacing they need – although, DiVincenzo is a reliable shooter. Still, it would be worth their time. That’s how valuable Draymond Green is.
Pairing him with James and Davis in the front court should give the Lakers one of the league’s best defences. Moreover, Green may not be an elite spacer, but he’ll knock down open jumpers. More importantly, he’s got a much better shot selection than Westbrook.
Wiseman is the wildcard here. Still, there’s reason to be optimistic that he’ll be more impactful as a lob threat for James than he is trying to figure out how these Warriors play.
