Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

There’s a significant difference between these two teams. The Knicks are flush with draft capital. Meanwhile, the Bulls are woefully short on it. 

Of course, some will say we’ve got backward logic here. If the Bulls are so low on picks, shouldn’t they look to acquire them? You could make that case – but one first-round pick won’t make a huge difference in their situation. 

Given their circumstances, the Bulls might as well keep pushing all-in on win-now mode. This deal ought to help them. In Robinson, they’re getting the interior defense they badly need. 

Still, Brunson is obviously the main draw here. He’s been playing like a star in 2022-23.
