Chicago Bulls Receive: F/C Anthony Davis 

The Chicago Bulls are a popular hypothetical destination for Davis. In fact, they have been for some time. 

After all, they’re his hometown team. When Davis demanded a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, most expected him to either land with the Lakers or the Bulls. 

Flash forward to 2022. The Chicago Bulls could still use Davis. With DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine on this roster, Vucevic’s offensive abilities may be redundant. The Bulls could use a stronger defensive big man on the interior. 

Meanwhile, the Lakers could stand to upgrade their spacing. That will hold true as long as Russell Westbrook is on this roster.

Vucevic is a more reliable stretch big than Davis. Finally, adding Caruso would give them another elite point-of-attack defensive guard alongside Patrick Beverley in the backcourt. 

The Lakers have no obligation to send Davis to his hometown squad. With that said, they could have plenty of incentive to do so.
