Some problems may have more complicated solutions than others. With that said, some have a more pressing need to be solved as well. 

For example, when a player demands a trade, typically, the rest of the NBA hears about it. That depreciates their trade value.

Meanwhile, the longer a team goes without trading that player, the more that value declines. 

Currently, the Phoenix Suns are dealing with that problem. Jae Crowder has requested a trade. Evidently, that request is pretty serious – Crowder hasn’t suited up for the Suns yet this year. With that in mind, they have an obvious incentive to move him.

After all, having a key rotation player sitting for no reason is never ideal. With that in mind, the Suns may have to settle for pennies on the dollar.

At the same time, they can’t afford to sell too low on Crowder either.
