Why The Cleveland Cavaliers Do The Deal
Saying goodbye to Love won’t be easy. After all, he’s the last holdover from the Cavaliers’ 2014 championship run.
At the same time, his minutes have been steadily decreasing for years. Between Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, the Cavaliers may not need Love anymore. At the very least, they’d be better off adding some wing depth.
Cam Reddish could provide some. While he’s been inconsistent throughout his NBA career, he is shooting a great percentage from long distance the year. If he maintains that accuracy while playing solid defense, he could even crack this team’s starting lineup.
Adding Fournier’s money is not ideal. Realistically, he’s unlikely to usurp Caris LeVert in this team’s rotation.
