If you don’t practice, you’ll make mistakes. At the same time, that’s ok – everyone makes mistakes. 

Just try to avoid compounding them. After all, that’s a surefire way to make the mistake worse. Making one mistake, and then making another to try to fix it, only makes the original mistake more significant. 

By that logic, this is a risky deal for the Nets. Some would argue that they made a mistake in trading an overwhelming amount of draft capital to the Houston Rockets in exchange for James Harden.

Moreover, others would say that they compounded that mistake by trading Harden for Ben Simmons.

Wouldn’t trading another first-round pick for Simmons’ benefit compound the mistake further? Perhaps. On the other hand, the Nets are already this deep. One could argue that they need to build a contender at all costs.
