Why The Milwaukee Bucks Do The Deal
Whether the Bucks have room for Crowder in their starting lineup is also a matter of debate.
At first glance, they do not. Obviously, nobody is taking Giannis Antetokoumnpo’s spot. Moreover, Khris Middleton should have the 3 spot locked down as well. Alternatively – what if the Bucks shifted him to the 2?
Imagine a starting group of Brook Lopez, Antetokoumnpo, Crowder, Middleton, and Jrue Holiday. Any team will struggle to contend with so much length. If that’s the route the Bucks prefer, they should be able to field an absolutely dominant defense.
Alternatively, they may prefer to keep Pat Connaughton’s shooting in the starting lineup. If so, Crowder can still be a key reserve. He may have declined that role in Phoenix, but getting moved to a different team could cause him to accept his fate.
