Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal
The Knicks are taking quite a risk here. After all, Anthony Davis hasn’t looked like a star player in quite some time.
Largely, that’s due to injuries. Unfortunately, Davis has had a hard time staying healthy in recent years. On the other hand, at 29, he still has time to turn his luck around. If he does, he could still perform at a superstar level.
That’s the outcome the Knicks would be gambling on here. If it works, they could be buying low on a bonafide MVP candidate.
For what it’s worth, Davis has looked the part to begin the 2022-23 season. Granted, it’s early.
