The New Orleans Pelicans may be missing something. If they are, it’s at the center position. Jonas Valanciunas is a great offensive big who spaces the floor, but he’s not an effective rim protector. Jaxson Hayes is, but he doesn’t shoot well.

If the Pelicans could land a big man who spaces the floor and defends the rim, they could be a force in 2022-23.
