Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

Frankly, Nikola Vucevic is not the right big man for this team. 

That doesn’t mean he isn’t a dynamic talent. Vooch is a floor-spacing big who can make plays for himself and his teammates on the low block. It just so happens that that’s not what the Bulls need. 

Especially not with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine on the roster. Between those two, the Bulls have got their playmaking covered. As a result, Vucevic occasionally looked out of sorts with this team next year. 

The Bulls need a rim protector. Allen is one of the league’s best. Meanwhile, the Bulls could shift Vucevic to the second unit following this deal, and give him free rein over its offense.
