Why The Phoenix Suns Do The Deal
In comparison to the Mavericks, the Suns have plenty of 3-and-D wings. If anything, they may have too many.
For starters, they’ve got arguably the best in the business in Mikal Bridges. Moreover, Cam Johnson is emerging as a quality option as well. With Torrey Craig rounding out the bench, it feels like the Suns could stand to diversify their portfolio.
For example, they sure could use a strong playmaking guard to man their second unit. We’re not saying Cam Payne can’t play, but for a contender, he’s a relatively uninspiring option. Dinwiddie would make for a massive upgrade.
With Paul aging, that’s especially significant. Dinwiddie could help preserve him for the playoffs, and then improve the Suns’ rotation once they get. All things considered, he may be worth more to them than Crowder as currently constructed.
